Funding

The cost of care is a serious concern and it’s important to consider the options before you decide whether care at home is right for you. Costs vary depending on the level of support you need and there a few funding options.

Local authority

Depending on your circumstances, you may be eligible for financial support from social services. Please contact your local council to find out whether you are eligible. Payments can either be paid directly to the carer or agency, or to you. This is called personal budget and it offers more flexibility as you can choose and pay for the services you need, when you need them.

Long-term funding

Some long-term health conditions or disabilities mean you could be entitled to continuing health care funding from the NHS to cover full-time care. Please contact your GP or local hospital to find out more.

Self-funding

You may not be entitled to financial support, but if you or a member of your family has the means to do so, you can fund your care privately, or even top up support from social services to pay for extra support.

Kind Words

"I enjoy working with Ethica Care because it’s like a family company, the care coordinator is very nice and understanding and the company is very supportive"
